Using the Versions Feature in Cascade

Each time an asset is submitted, a Version of that asset is saved. Cascade allows users to view the history versions of assets in order to review and/or revert to previous states. This guide outlines the steps to use this feature.

Reverting to a Previous Version

  1. On your selected page, click ...More in the navigation bar and select Versions.

  2. In the Versions panel, select the desired version from the list.

  3. To Preview the selected version compared to the current version, click the Eye icon at the top of the version list.

  4. To Revert to the Selected Version, click ...More and select Restore this version. This action will replace the current version. Ensure you save any necessary information from the current version beforehand.

  5. After the reversion, the page will refresh and display the content from the selected version. Check to ensure it meets your expectations.

Additional Options while Comparing with Current Page

These options appear in the ...More menu and are available while previewing the selected version against the current page:

  • Delete this Version: This option permanently removes a specific version.

  • View Current Version: This option allows you to view the current version without making changes.

  • View Newer Version: This option shows the next newer version, if available.

  • View Older Version: This option shows the next older version, if available.

Immediate Reversion without Preview

You can skip the preview step and immediately revert to a selected version.

  1. In the Versions panel, click on the Restore this version arrow icon that appears when a version is selected. This will restore and save the page immediately, and the page will refresh to display the content from the selected version.
