The design and layouts depicted in the template examples above include sample content and present an overview of layout ideas that are to be used as inspiration for your own web presentation needs.
Features of a News/Blog Home Page Template
There are several dynamic features available so you don’t have to worry about designing your post lists. Recent posts and categories are handled dynamically.
Getting Started: Setting the Layout and Listing Type
The home page template includes an option to choose from a full width or two-column layout. The column layout will provide additional options to customize the sidebar presentation.
Select a Layout and Listing Type
From the Site Content Asset Tree, select the News Homepage.
Click Edit.
Select Full Width or Two Column.
Select the desired Listing Style from the Listing Style menu.
Click Preview Draft (blue button at the top of the screen). After previewing the draft, click Submit to save these changes to the CMS.
When you select the Two Column layout option, the Sidebar Row options will appear below the the Listing Style menu.
Working with Sidebars
If you selected the Two Column layout, just below the Listing Type section, you will see a Sidebar Row section. Each Sidebar Row includes the option to select a type which represents a type of content in the sidebar. Each type can be set with unique options and styles.
