A Media Gallery is a dynamic gallery that can showcase photos in different layouts.

Add a New Gallery

  1. Go to +Add Content, click on Gallery, then click on the Media Gallery folder.

  2. Name your folder and input Display Name and Title, click Submit. (Refer to Filenames, Titles and Display Names for more information.)

  3. The Gallery folder is created with the Gallery Block and an Index page.

A Gallery Collection can only be created on a Gallery page.

Create an Images Folder

  1. Click +Add Content, click New Folder.

  2. Name your folder and input Display Name and Title. (Refer to Filenames, Titles and Display Names for more information.)

  3. Make sure the placement of this new folder is in the Gallery folder you created. Click Submit.

  4. The structure of your folders should look like the example below:

  5. Move the Gallery Block into the images folder you just created. This folder will hold your gallery images as well as the gallery block.

  6. To add images to your folder, go to +Add Content, then click Upload a File. If you upload only one image, the Title will automatically fill with the name of the image. If you bulk upload, the Title is not needed. Make sure the Placement Folder is the images folder you created above.

  7. The uploaded images show at the bottom. Click Submit.

  8. The final folder structure should look like the example below:

Edit the Gallery Block

  1. Click the Gallery Block in the Site Directory.

  2. Click Edit. Here you can choose your Type of gallery and input a Title for the gallery.

    • Mosaic:

    • Slider:

    • Cascading (Fixed Width):

    • Justified (Fixed Height):

Edit Image Metadata

These steps must be completed on EACH image.

  1. Click on Image name in the Site Directory.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Click Metadata. (This adds information to your image and makes them more searchable.)

  4. Enter a Display Name and a Title. (This information will appear on the image in the gallery.)

  5. Enter Keywords.

  6. Click Submit.

Edit the Index page

  1. Click the Index page in the new Gallery Folder.

  2. Click Edit.

  3. Enter your Content.

  4. Click Choose Block.

  5. Locate the Gallery Block you created earlier and click Choose.

  6. Click the Metadata tab and enter a Display Name and Title. This is necessary in order for the Title to show on the page.

  7. Click Submit.

  • A Gallery has to be at the end of the Content.

  • You can have multiple Gallery Blocks on a page.

Change the Order of the Images

  1. Click View Folder on the Gallery Folder in the Site Directory.

  2. To see the images in order, click the Order tab.

  3. Select an image. Use the Move buttons at the top to move the image.
