A Sidebar Menu, which can be auto generated or set up manually, allows the user to easily navigate between pages in the same directory.

Sidebars only show pages that are created in the same directory.

Auto Generated Sidebar

An Auto Generated Sidebar menu is automatically created from the pages in your chosen Directory. The names you give your pages will be displayed in the Sidebar menu.

  1. Select the directory where you want to create your pages.

  2. Create a New Interior page. (Refer to Create a New Interior Page with Feature Text for more information.)

  3. Select Yes to Add Sidebar.

  4. Select Auto Generated for Sidebar Link Options.

  5. Complete your Content and Submit the page.

  6. Complete steps 1-5 for every page in the directory. You should see your pages underneath the directory as shown below.

  7. Each page should have a Sidebar as pictured below:

Changing the Order

By default, pages will be listed in the Sidebar menu in the order they were created. If you want them to be in a different order, follow the steps below.

  1. Click View Folder.

  2. Click Order to see the order of your pages as they appear in the Sidebar menu.

  3. To change the order, click and drag the name of the page to the new location.

Changing the order of how the pages appear in the Sidebar does not affect how they appear in the Site Directory.

Manual Sidebar

Manually creating the sidebar lets you customize the page names as they appear on the sidebar and allows for a sub menu.

  1. Navigate to the Content Row of one of your pages.

  2. Click Manually for Sidebar Link options.

  3. Link Type:

    • Internal -

      • Select Internal.

      • Choose a page, file, or link.

      • Enter the Link Text as you want it to appear in the Sidebar menu.

    • External -

      • Select External.

      • Enter a URL.

      • Enter the Link Text as you want it to appear in the Sidebar menu.

    • Sub Hierarchy - allows you to create a sub menu within the Sidebar menu.

      • Select Sub Hierarchy.

      • Enter the Link Text. (The name that appears in the Sidebar menu.)

      • Select Internal or External for the first sub menu Link Type.

      • Enter the Link and the Link Text.

      • Click the +New Group for a second sub menu link.

      • To add another link, complete the same steps as you did for Link 1.

  4. Preview Draft to see the results. Your page should look similar to the image below.


Submit Changes

  1. Click Submit.

Page is saved and shows in the Site Directory.
