General Exceptions
NMSU understands that in some cases a technical or business need may arise that do not fit into the defined policies and standards. With this in mind a process exists for cases where a NMSU department or organization wishes to request a website hosting exception. All exceptions are approved by the Executive Digital and Web Governance Committee.
Exceptions requests can be made by submitting the website hosting exception form. Requests received will be placed on the agenda for the upcoming quarterly meeting. A representative may attend the meeting to discuss the exception.
Exceptions must include the following:
The specific section of the standard or policy the exception is requested for
A business or technical case for why the exception is needed
Approval by the appropriate Dean or Department Head
