This article explains how to use the Blog-feed format to seamlessly replace a Facebook feed with a more interactive and informative News Blog Feed on your homepage.

\uD83D\uDCD8 Instructions

  1. Navigate to your homepage within Cascade CMS.

  2. Click on the '…More' and then select 'Show Regions'. This will display all active regions on your homepage.

  3. Identify the Region currently displaying the Facebook feed “fb-feed”. In this case, it will be under the 'News' section.

  4. Once the region holding the Facebook feed is identified, click on 'Edit' to make changes.

  5. Now click on 'Configure'. Scroll down to find the region that holds the Facebook feed.

  6. Once there, click 'Choose Format' (represented by the <> symbol).

  7. In the ensuing dialog box, select 'Browse' and then 'Assets'.

  8. Look for '<> blog-feed' within the assets. Once found, click on 'Choose'.

  9. To finalize your changes, click 'Submit'. This action will update your homepage with the new format.

After following these steps, your homepage should display blog posts from the selected blog feed, replacing the previous Facebook feed.

Key Considerations:

  • To ensure your blog posts appear on the homepage, remember to select 'Featured on Home Page' when creating your posts. At least one post should have this setting for the feed to show correctly.

  • Regularly update your feed by removing outdated posts, as this will make room for new posts to display on your homepage. By doing this, your homepage will always show the most recent and relevant blog posts.
