Uploading an image to Cascade CMS is done through the Common Asset Factory, using the red plus sign for adding contentEach article includes an option to include a hero visual element in the form of a banner image. The banner image is used in various listing style feeds on sidebars, the home page, yearly archive and category pages. If you do not choose to include a banner image for a post article, a default image will be used.

Instructions
Inside the Add Content menu, select Upload a File.
In the Site Content tree on the left, click on the images folder.
Look for a red plus sign in the topmost header area of the page, and click on Add Content.
_files folder, then click on the images folder.
Select the blog-default.jpg file.
Click Edit.
Drag and drop an image from somewhere on your computer into the browser window, or choose one from your computer. The File Name will automatically populate with the file name previously given to the image. You must retain the file name blog-default.jpg. If you do not retain the filename, you will need to update the image-default velocity format file.
There are minimal photo editing options available that you can use to resize or crop your image. Your default image should be 700 x 467 pixels. See Upload Image WYSIWYG Editor for more information.
Click Preview Draft. After previewing the draft, click Submit to save the image to the CMS.
The image has been successfully saved to the CMS. You should now Publishyour image.
Select Publish.
If your site has been assigned a live or test URL, all publishing destinations have been set for you and you can click Publish from the Publish File menu to confirm.
If your site has not been assigned a live or test URL, you will not be able to publish your image and will see the following message. The image will still be available to build pages.

Maintain Aspect Ratio: You can enter a new width and height of the image. The lock icon will ensure you maintain the images aspect ratio so it does not appear stretched when you resize the image.

Save or Dismiss: Save the changes you made using the checkmark icon, use the x icon to dismiss your edits.
