NMSU understands that in some cases a technical or business need may arise that does not fit into the defined policies and standards.  With this in mind a process exists for cases where a NMSU department or organization wishes to request an exception.  All exceptions are approved by the Executive Digital and Web Governance Committee.

Exceptions requests can be submitted using the appropriate process identified in the standard operating procedures

Requests received will be placed on the agenda for the upcoming quarterly meeting. A representative may attend the meeting to discuss the exception.

Exceptions must include the following:

  • The specific section of the Standard of Policy an exception is requested for

  • A business or technical case for why the exception is needed

  • Approval by the appropriate Dean or Directory

  • No labels
