The default options for the site footer include a crimson or white background. In addition to the default options, you can also select the standard (sand background) or a simple footer set up. The process to create a new page with the simple footer is similar to adding a standard page. However, you could also edit an existing page on your site and select a new footer option. Review the two options below.

It is recommended that your footers are consistent across your website, but you do have the option to select a different footer on a page-by-page basis if it is needed.

Table of Contents

Option 1: Add a Standard Page with Simple Footer

  1. In the Site Content tree on the left, click on the folder name where you wish to create the page.

  2. Look for a red plus sign in the topmost header area of the page, and click on Add Content.

  3. From the Add Content menu, click on Add Standard Pages.

  4. Select your template style and then select the Standard Page with Simple Footer template from the menu.

  5. Fill in your content.

  6. Click Preview Draft (blue button at the top of the screen). After previewing the draft, click Submit to save these changes to the CMS.

  7. The page has been successfully saved to the CMS. You must now Publish your page.

For more information, see How to Add Standard Pages

Option 2: Change an Existing Page to a Simple or Sand Footer

  1. In the Site Content tree on the left, select the page you wish to edit.

  2. Once the page has loaded, click Edit.

  3. Select the Configure tab.

  4. Scroll down the page to the Regions section.

  5. From the Choose a content type menu, click on the Browse tab and select Vanity from the list.

  6. Click Choose.

  7. Select the Content tab.

  8. Enter a Vanity URL Destination.

  9. Click Preview Draft. After previewing the draft, click Submit to save the page to Cascade CMS.

  10. The page (with redirect) has been successfully saved to the CMS. You must now Publish the redirect.

When the redirect content type is selected, there is no need to delete any of the existing page content. The redirect will override any existing content.

You can also edit a page by right-clicking on the page name, and selecting the Edit option from the context menu.
