This article provides steps on how to integrate your Facebook feed on a homepage by editing an existing asset (block). This is an effective way to display the latest social media updates directly on the your website, increasing visitor engagement and keeping the ensuring content is fresh and relevant.

To determine where the Facebook feed will be placed on the homepage, the specific region and block currently being used need to must be identified. To do this:

The regions of the page will be displayed. The Facebook feed should be inserted in the 'News ' region using the ' fb-feed' block, this is where it will be highlighted.

  • Navigate to Facebook’s Page Plugin.

  • Locate and replace the ‘Facebook Facebook Page URL’ URL field with the URL of your Facebook page. For example, 'https://www.facebook.com/NMSUNews/.

  • A live preview of the feed will appear on the page.

  • Scroll beneath the live preview and click on ' Get Code'.

  • From the code that appears, select and copy the code from Step 2 (see below). This is the <div> embed code that will be used to display your Facebook feed on the homepage.

Replace the Source Code in Cascade CMS

Now, the The copied Facebook <div> embed code can now be used to replace the existing code in the appropriate block within Cascade CMS:

  • In Cascade, click on 'Assets' and navigate to the block that needs to be edited. For example, if editing the 'fb-feed ' block, navigate to this.

  • Click on the appropriate block, in this case ' fb-feed', and then click 'Edit'.

  • Click on the <> Source code button in the WYSIWYG

  • Locate the previous Facebook <div> embed code.

  • Replace the existing <div> embed code in the source source code editor with the copied Facebook <div> embed code and click 'Ok'.

  • To save and confirm your changes, click on 'Submit'.

  • Your Facebook feed should now be visible in the selected region on your homepage.
