The following “modules” are optional functionalities that may be available in most departmental sites. These include the Media Gallery, the Faculty Directory, and the News/Events (also called the Blog) modules.

Sometimes errors occur with one of their intended functions. If you make an edit to a page or asset utilizing these modules and receive an error, consult the suggestions in this article.

News and Events Blog Error with Solutions

If your page is actively using the <blog-feed> format on any of the REGIONS of your page, there MUST be at least one post set to Featured on Home Page in your blog, otherwise an error will result. For more information on the blog-feed format, see Adding Blog Feed to Your Home Page.

Feature at least One of Your Blog Posts

  1. Edit one of your blog posts. (By default, in the News (Blog) directory.)

  2. Click the radio button Yes on Featured on Home Page.

Remove Blog Feed from your Page

  1. Edit your page.

  2. Click the Configure tab.

  3. Scroll down and check the REGIONS of your page. The Blog feed is usually applied to the NEWS region or the FORM region, but it may be applied elsewhere.

  4. Click on both tick boxes to cancel the block or format currently in place.

  5. Submit your change. The blog feed should no longer be active on your page.
