  1. A user enters an incorrect/incomplete URL (Incorrect or incomplete URLs: Links published with typos, missing directory directories, or file extension) and publishes that mistakeextensions.

  2. The URL structure of the site has changed (permalinks). This occurs when the site's owner has moved their pages or files to another directory, or perhaps renamed them.

Running Follow these steps to run the Broken Link Report Tool:

  1. Log in to your Sitesite.

  2. Click the System Menu in the (top right corner of your site).

  3. Select Report .Click and click Broken Links.

  4. A View the list of Sources sources with broken links will appear. Click Show on one of them, and click Show for details.

  5. Click ? to see the reason.

  6. Click in the Status column to select Broken, Fixed, Mark all fixed, Mark all broken or Ignored.
